# SAP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE ON WINDOWS SERVER 2003
#PRE INSTALLATION STEPS
1. Setting Computer Name & Primary DNS
Change
Mycomputer name to SAPSERVER. Right click on My Computer – click on properties -
computer name – change –”sapserver” now click on more – primary dns – “com”.
2. Setting Loopback Adapter
Now
open control panel – add hardware – new – next – next – add new hardware –
search – next – network adapter – next – Microsoft – Ms-loopback adapter- next –
next - finish.
3. Setting IP’s
Now
click on local area N/w properties. Tick on show icon & Untick on notify me.
Then
in IP- 121.121.121.1 Subnet mask 255.0.0.0 then apply ok- ok.
4. Update Host File
Then
press (winkey+R) in RUN type Drivers in ETC folder & open HOST file notepad and
add ip 121.121.121.1 & server name “sapserver”. Save- ok
5. Power settings
Mycomputer
– properties – screensaver- never – never
power – never – never
6. Increase buffer size
Mycomputer
– right click – properties – advance – settings – advance – setttings – custom size
– 3200, 3200 set – save – ok

Installation
of java
First
of all run J2SDK file for java installation. After installation copy the
directory path.
i.e. c:\progfiles\java\jdk1.5.0_15
Then
right click on Mycomputer - properties – advanced – environment variables – in first
NEW
Variable
name = JAVA_HOME, variable value = paste directory path & remove \bin
from it. i.e. c:\progfiles\java\jdk1.5.0_15
In
list select path & click on edit over there give variable as
path\bin;path;c:\progfiles\java\jdk1.5.0_16\bin ok – ok Done.

Installation
of Oracle
Oracle
10G – nt – amd64 – database – setup.exe
then check the directory & Then Give password & then Next – Next
– Install
Then
click on password management. Then give password to

After this
actual installation of SAP starts.
Installation steps: 1. Choose Services 2. Define Parameters
3. Check Parameters 4. Execute Services
5. Complete
NOTE: In execute services there is total
28 phases in that phase a service named as IMPORT ABAP will take more time to
extract than other services.

Choose Services Then select directory SAP ERP 6.0 Support Release3 – SAP system – Oracle – Central system – Central System – NEXT
Define parameters Parameter mode – Custom – next. It will open a popup window & log you off press OK then click on Continue with old option – next

Oracle Client – ECC6 – NonIDES6 – Oracle Client - Next
Check
Parameters -Next- Keygen to generate a key for
Solution Manager – Next-
Execute Services Tasks- There is 28 Services IMPORT ABAP will take time.
